Ann Tennes is your neighbor who has more than 30 years of service and leadership in local government communications and community engagement. As Skokie’s next mayor, she will bring her track record of leadership, innovation and consensus building to unite the community for positive growth.

Ann’s strong credentials make her uniquely qualified to lead Skokie:

Communications and community engagement leadership experience
- 25 years as Skokie’s first Director of Marketing and Communications
Elected leadership service
- 12 years as an elected Oakton College Trustee (2007 to 2019), including several years as board chair
Regional leadership service
- Six years as Assistant Executive Director of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County
